Meet Esme
Hola! I am Esmeralda Aguilera, Master Certified Bilingual Esthetician, Licensed Nail Tech and Facial Specialist behind Emerald Skincare and Spa.
My name, Esmeralda, translates to Emerald in Spanish.
That is how the name Emerald Skincare and Spa was born!
My professional background began in the corporate world.
When I decided I wanted more from my professional life, I chose to pursue my true passion of helping women and men discover the real definition of skincare.
As a teenager, I battled personal skin conditions -- so I became uniquely attuned to the need for quality skincare products, services, and treatments.
My passion for skincare developed years ago - going back to when I was a teenager. Not only would I provide waxing treatments to my sisters, family, and friends, but I also battled personal skin conditions -- so I became uniquely attuned to the need for quality skincare products, services, and treatments.
I set forth on a path for effective treatments and clean products that didn’t contain problematic ingredients. This brought on a whole new challenge, but it fed my passion.
I am a staunch believer in feeding our skin and health from within. What we put in our bodies affects our overall health, skin, and appearance.
In 2018 I enrolled at RCCC Cosmetology School, where I learned about many different skincare products, skincare afflictions, and treatments. I gained expertise in facial treatments, waxing, makeup artistry and sanitation.
In 2020 I earned my Advanced Esthetics Certification in Acne, Antiaging, Chemical Peels, and Waxing.
My approach to treating the face and body is not just from the outside.
Just as important as topical skincare products and services, I am a staunch believer in feeding our skin and health from within.
What we put into our bodies affects our overall health, skin, and appearance.
This concept serves as the foundation of my philosophy and what I do at Emerald Skincare and Spa:

My love for plants, oils, natural soaps pointed me to my mission statement:

I am extremely passionate about health, and spreading positivity.
In my downtime, I work for Novant Health as a Spanish Interpreter. I am of Mexican heritage, born in Mexico and raised in North Carolina.
I am extremely passionate about health and spreading positivity. I love traveling, being outdoors, and being a perfectionist. I love going on adventures with my husband, 3 kids, and my grandbaby!
